New - Benchtop Active Vibration Isolation Systems with Separate Control Unit

Halcyonics standard active vibration isolation units in general consume only little electrical power and do not create significant electrical fields. However, these benchtop isolators contain complete electronics. For that reason, under some circumstances, such an integrated solution may cause problems for temperature and EMC sensitive applications.

One major example for such a critical application is an AFM placed on an active vibration isolation system inside a small acoustic enclosure. The inside air volume of the enclosure will heat up after a longer time. Once the user opens the enclosure in order to change a sample, the inside air temperature drops down and it then lasts some time until the temperature condition becomes constant again.

Especially for those needs, Halcyonics offers benchtop isolation units with external control electronics. As shown in the picture, four connectors on the rear side of the isolator connect to an external control box. As a result, all heat creating components such as the systems’ switched power supply, power amplifiers, the automatic load adjustment PCB as well as the USB interface stay far away of the main application.

Benchtop isolators with external control unit are cost effective, compact and do not create any heat at the application! Please contact us for further information.
